16th National Indian Nations Conference: Justice for Victims of Crime

The 16^th National Indian Nations Conference: Justice for Victims of Crime will be held again on the reservation of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, California. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians has occupied the area for over a thousand years. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is one of ten Tribes in the greater Coachella Valley area. There are thirty-three Tribes in the region.

The conference will be held once again at the Renaissance Hotel. Please note that some of the hotels have informally extended the registration deadlines indicated below.

Palm Springs International Airport is less than 2 miles from the Renaissance Hotel. Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is served by eleven airlines that connect to hundreds of cities worldwide. Every year, PSP welcomes visitors from over 500 cities around the world. Conference attendees can access free hotel shuttle service by calling the Renaissance Hotel front desk at 760-322-6000.

Ontario International Airport is 70 miles from Palm Springs and is the closest of all Los Angeles area airports for conference attendees who cannot fly directly into Palm Springs. Conference attendees arriving by way of Ontario International Airport and driving to conference hotels in Palm Springs can find Driving Directions Here.

Transportation from the Airports

Palm Springs International Airport maintains a service desk, located inside the terminal near baggage claim, to assist the traveling public with transportation needs and questions. Conference attendees arriving by way of Ontario International Airport and not renting cars are encouraged to use Desert Valley Shuttle (1-800-413-3999 psshuttle@aol.com). Scheduled shuttles departs Ontario Airport twice daily at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Advanced reservations recommended. Desert Valley Shuttle provides scheduled shuttle service to and from the major airports in Southern California. I.E. Lax - Ontario - Long Beach - John Wayne (Orange County) - as well as door-to-door service in the general Los Angeles/ San Fernando Valley/ Long Beach/Orange County areas.

The desert climate is warm and dry with average December daytime highs in the seventies and average nighttime lows in the mid-forties.
