<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#202020">The Center for Children and Family Futures (CCFF) is pleased to support the 2020 National Evaluation of Family Treatment Courts (NEFTCs). This first-ever nationwide
evaluation of FTC practices is funded by the Department of Justice and led by NPC Research, with input from CCFF, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP), and other experts in the field.<br>
<br>
Existing research suggests that participation in an effective FTC increases the likelihood that the family will be reunified, that parents will attain stable recovery, and that children will not experience a recurrence of neglect or abuse. However, FTCs have
not been studied as much as some other problem-solving courts such as Adult Criminal Treatment Courts. Broad participation in this study – by FTCs like yours – will significantly increase our knowledge about what practices improve outcomes for families involved
in the child welfare system who have substance use or co-occurring disorders. Data collected through the survey will be aggregated and analyzed to determine which FTC practices are associated with positive outcomes and which practices either have no effect
or are potentially harmful or not cost-effective. The findings from this evaluation will inform policy and resource decisions within the child welfare, court, and treatment systems.<br>

<strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The coordinator (or potentially another member) of your team will receive an email from the National Evaluation of Family Treatment Courts
</span></strong>that contains more information about the study and step-by-step instructions for completing the online survey.
<strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The survey must be completed no later than March 30.</span></strong><br>

Sites that complete the survey will receive an individualized report that provides feedback on how your team's reported practices align with best practices. Your team will also be invited to participate in a national Webinar led by the evaluators who will provide
guidance on how to interpret and use the results for program improvement. Finally, up to five FTCs will be offered the opportunity to participate in an outcome study conducted by NPC at no cost to your site.<br>

NPC Research, CCFF, and NADCP have worked together to develop an up-to-date list of all operational FTCs and their FTC coordinators. However, we recognize the list may not be complete or the coordinator may have changed.
