It is also up to your team to decide based on factors of type of abuse; physical sexual, emotional, neglect, endangerment. Also, what does your individual code say. We typically disqualify an individual for any violent felony convictions, so if this was a conviction then we would disqualify for this. We really only automatically disqualify for sexual assault/abuse related charges. Sometimes child molestation charges get pled down to child abuse. Or, it could have been a bad domestic violence case with children present.
