The Tribal Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court is an innovative judicial process  that promotes youth and community healing through a combination of therapeutic and culturally integrative intervention methods. Often carried out through interdisciplinary teams, the holistic methodology of the court requires community engaged planning processes. The OJJDP Tribal Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center has developed a resource for Tribal Communities to support these efforts: The Tribal Juvenile Healing to Wellness Handbook is a supportive resource and tool for tribal communities to utilize as they develop a juvenile healing to wellness court. The handbook serves as a practical planning guide with resources, information and promising practices to support tribal youth.

Participants will learn about strategic planning processes to support the implementation of a Tribal Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court.

Participants will learn about a new supportive strategic planning resource for Tribal Juvenile Healing to Wellness Courts developed by the OJJDP Tribal Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center.

Participants will have the opportunity engage in dialogue about planning processes and to download a copy of the handbook and request technical assistance in engaging with the Tribal Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court Handbook.
