[Tribal-drug-courts] Evidence-Based Sentencing Workshops - Travel Scholarship Available

The National Center for State Courts will be convening 3 workshops on evidence-based sentencing in the next 3 months:

·         March 24-25 in Baltimore;

·         April 15-16, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ; and

·         May 5-6, 2014 in St. Louis, MO.

The workshops are designed for teams of 4 (judge, probation officer, prosecutor and defense attorney) to spend one day hearing from Judge Roger Warren and Dr. Geraldine Nagy about the components of and science behind evidence-based sentencing and the second day meeting to plan how best to advance evidence-based sentencing in their jurisdictions.

Funding (from BJA) is available to cover the costs of 1 tribal court team to attend each regional workshop (first come basis).
