[Tribal-drug-courts] New TLPI Webinars on Federal Funding for Healing to Wellness Courts

Greetings Healing to Wellness Court Teams and Advocates,
As grant-writing season wanes on, the Tribal Law and Policy Institute is pleased to announce the two upcoming webinars to assist in the process. These webinars will focus specifically on grants that provide funding for Healing to Wellness Courts. The webinars, occurring back-to-back (Tuesday, February 18th and Wednesday, February 19th) will overview the RFPs and grant writing tips.
Additionally, representatives from the federal funding agencies will be on hand to answer any questions you might have! You will have the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar. This webinar will provide a brief overview of Tribal Healing to Wellness Court funding opportunities available within the FY 2014 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation, also known as CTAS. This webinar will focus upon Purpose Area 3, which provides the most explicit form of Healing to Wellness Court funding, but will explore other purpose areas as well. In addition, this webinar will provide CTAS-specific grant writing tips, general grant writing tips, and other potential federal sources of funding. Finally, a representative from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will be available to answer any questions about applying and managing a CTAS grant.

This webinar will provide a brief overview of Tribal Healing to Wellness Court funding opportunities available within the FY 2014 Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Drug Court Discretionary Program and the SAMHSA Grants to Expand Substance Abuse Treatment Capacity in Adult Tribal Healing to Wellness Courts and Juvenile Drug Courts (Short Title: SAMHSA Treatment Drug Courts). This webinar will focus upon the application requirements of these grants. In addition, this webinar will provide BJA Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program-specific grant writing tips, general grant writing tips, and other potential federal sources of funding. Finally, representatives from both the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will be available to answer any questions about applying and managing these federal grants.
